Langtang Ri lies within the Langtang mountain range in Nepal and is the world’s 106th tallest peak.  It stands tall at 7,205m ( 7.205km).

The beautiful Porong Ri peak, the renowned Shishapangma Peak, and other massive peaks of the Langtang range surround Langtang Ri from all sides.

Langtang Ri lies within the beautiful and diverse Langtang National Park. This area is home to diverse exotic flora and faunas. Climbers get to witness the untouched beauty of mother nature during the trip.

The thick and beautiful forests of rhododendron, pine, and alpine plants welcome the climbers with an open arm. This area has as diverse as eighteen types of vegetation.

When is Langtang Ri usually climbed?

Climbing Langtang Ri has moderate difficulties. One needs to be fully prepared both mentally and physically for this trip. They also need to have technical climbing skills and previous experience before signing up for this trip.

However, with experienced guidance and preparation, one can climb this mountain throughout the year.

How long does it take to climb Langtang Ri?

Climbing Langtang Ri might be an adventurous, thrilling and self-refreshing activity. Yet its massive height makes it dangerous too. So, making a rush might not be the best thing to do considering your safety.

The overall climbing of Langtang Ri takes around 35 days. During these 35 days, it takes about eleven days to reach the base camp.

 

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arriving at a hotel in Kathmandu

COST INCLUDES AND EXCLUDES

Cost includes(Full board service)

Transportation: Includes pickups and drop-offs from and to the airport along with the jeep rides.

Food and accommodation: Accommodations will be provided in a 3-star hotel while staying in Kathmandu as well as during different stops in the trip. A welcome dinner will also be held to introduce our team with the clients. Later,3 meals will be served during the trip which will be cooked by talented cooks along with occasional teas and coffees.

Permits and fees: The company will pay for the air cargo charges as well as all the taxes to the Nepalese government on your behalf. The company will also take care of different Royalties and permits from the Nepalese government. Permits and fees to enter Langtang National Park will be managed. Permits for Walkie talkie will also be provided. Fees will also be paid for deposition of garbage.

Insurance: The company will cover for insurances of all the involved staff in case of accidents.

Equipment: All the tools and equipment that will be needed for the expedition will be transported by the company through air cargo and potters. In case of unfavorable circumstances, it may also be done through land or helicopters.

Liaison Officer, Sherpas and porters: Every member will be facilitated with one Sherpa and one porter. Also, a legit government Liaison will be present throughout the expedition

Base camp staffs and equipment: The base camp will be fully equipped with a separate kitchen tent, dining tent, communication tent along with a toilet tent along with all the other necessary items that are needed for a comfortable stay. Solar panels or generators will also be managed for electricity as well as the dining tent and other tents will be equipped with heaters to keep you warm. Expert cooks and porters will be there in the camp to assist you. The base camp will also have a bar and bakery.

Communication: Walkie talkie will be given to each member to communicate in between the base camp and the mountain. Internet access will also be granted.

Oxygen masks, bottles and regulators: Every member will be given required bottles of oxygen along with summit masks and regulators for their journey. More will be carried as a backup for emergencies along with a rescue sledge.

Certificate: The members will be honored with a certificate from MoCTCA for their accomplishment of climbing the mountain.

Cost excludes

International flights: The clients have to bear their flight fees while arriving and leaving Nepal.

Visa and insurance: The clients are responsible for their VISA while arriving in Nepal. You have to pay for your insurance in case of any accidents

Personal belongings and interests: The clients are requested to arrange their own clothing and required gears while joining the expedition. They also have to arrange the items required to maintain their personal hygiene. They have to bear the additional charges for services like phone calls, hot bath, laundry etc. They have to pay an extra charge in case they want to shoot videos or capture pictures.

Tips and bonuses: It will be highly appreciated if the clients can make some tips and bonuses to the hardworking Sherpas and the base camp workers.

Extra services: Extra permit charge has to be paid if you wish to use a satellite phone and an extra $300 if you have to travel with an extra yak. Also, in case you have to return to Kathmandu and can’t wait for the trip to end then you have to bear all the travelling costs to Kathmandu yourself and also have to pay for extra days that you will spend in Kathmandu. In case you want any other services that are not mentioned above then you have to pay extra from your pocket.
