Broad Peak Expedition Overview
Broad Peak, often called the ‘Easy Peak’, is the 2nd tallest peak within the Gasherbrum Peaks and the 12th in the world, with a height of 8,047m(8.047km). This mountain is one of the peaks of the great Karakoram mountain range. The Karakoram range comprises a total of 35 peaks. Broad Peak is famous as ‘Phalchan Kangri’ among the local Balti people. The name ‘Broad Peak’ was given by an English explorer. Broad Peak Expedition doesn’t require any or very less technical climbing because of which it has earned the title of the ‘easy peak’.
Broad Peak lies on the border of China and Pakistan. It is a good option for anyone who wants to try mountain climbing with fewer risks than other mountains that are taller than 8,000m. The Broad Peak has five summits: Broad Peak North, Broad Peak Central, Broad Peak, Kharut Kangri, and the Rocky Summit which stand tall at 7,490m, 8,011m, 8.047m, 6,942 and 8.028m respectively. Broad Peak is the 12th highest mountain in the world, standing at 8,047 meters (26,400 feet) above sea level. It is located in the Karakoram mountain range in Pakistan.
There have been many expeditions to Broad Peak over the years, with the first successful summit occurring in 1957 by an Austrian team.
Some highlights of expeditions to Broad Peak include:

- The first solo ascent of the mountain was achieved by Aleksander Lwow of Poland in 1986.
- The first winter ascent of the mountain was achieved by a Polish team in 2013.

- The first ascent of the mountain by a double amputee was achieved by Mark Inglis of New Zealand in 2007.

Difficulty to Climb
Broad Peak is comparatively easier to climb than other mountains like Mt.K2, Nanga Parbat as there are no or very less technical climbing required to climb this mountain. But this doesn’t mean the climbing Broad Peak should be underestimated. Only experienced and well-prepared climbers can climb this mountain. The climbers have to go past the neverending steep slopes which get more and more dangerous as the climbers climb upwards. Besides these technical challenges, there are chances of avalanches during the climb that can be fatal. The climbers also have to cross the ridge to move from one summit to another as there are 5 summits within the Broad Peak which will cost them more time to complete the expedition.

When is Broad Peak usually climbed?
The best season for an expedition to Broad Peak is during summer. During summer there is less snowfall. The weather is also somewhat less harsh and comparatively warm. However, some travellers want to level up their adventure and climb during winter. Even though climbing during winter is very hard compared to summer, there are still plenty of people who want to climb Broad Peak during winter.
How hard is it to climb Broad Peak?
Climbing Broad Peak is easier than climbing other mountains like MT.K2 or Nanga Parbat as not much or very less technical climbing is required. However, there are the usual challenges like altitude sickness and chances of avalanches. Besides these, there are also neverending steep slopes. This expedition becomes more and more dangerous as the climbers climb upwards. However, with proper experienced guidance, one can climb the mountain with ease.
How long does it take to climb Broad Peak?
Climbing Broad Peak might be an adventurous, thrilling and self-refreshing activity yet it is dangerous too so making a rush might not be the best thing to do considering your safety. The overall adventure of climbing Broad Peak takes at least a span of 52 days. During these days, about 12 days are needed to reach the base camp.

Requirement
- The climbers should get themselves tested to make sure they are healthy enough to climb the mountains.
- A visit to the dentist is also recommended as there are chances of acute dental problems at high altitudes.
- It is also highly recommended that the climbers should have some previous experiences with mountaineering and with high altitudes.
- It is also requested that the climbers should workout a bit months prior to ascending the mountain.
Payment and cancellation
Policy regarding Payment and Cancellation Payment:
Payment:
1) To confirm a reservation, a deposit equal to 30% of the total price is required.
2) If the payment is made online, the remaining balance is due 10 days before the Tour, Trekking, Peak Climbing, or Expedition begins. If the payment is made in cash, it can be made after arrival. 3) If the booking is made within 30 days of the expedition beginning, full payment must be made at the time of booking.
Cancellation:
1)A full refund of the deposit will be given if a Tour, Trek, Peak Climbing, or Expedition is canceled more than 60 days before the start date.
2)The deposit will not be refunded if a Tour, Trek, Peak Climbing, or Expedition is canceled within 30 days of its start date.
3)A tour, trek, peak climbing, or expedition will not be refunded if it is canceled prior to or on the start date.
4)All participants should strongly consider purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen cancellations or other occurrences.
Note: We reserve the right to modify or cancel any trek in the event of a natural disaster, political unrest, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. In such cases, a full refund or an alternative option will be provided.

Solar panels or generators will also be managed for electricity as well as the dining tent and other tents will be equipped with heaters to keep you warm.
Expert cooks and porters will be there in the camp to assist you. The base camp will also have a bar and bakery. - Communication
Walkie talkie and satellite phones will be given to each member to communicate in between the base camp and the mountain. Internet access will also be granted. - Oxygen masks,bottles and regulators
